Join Our Family-Run Pub
We're looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to work alongside our chef in our busy family-run pub.
Our kitchen takes pride in preparing fresh, homemade food, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on and wants to be part of creating quality dishes from fresh ingredients.
Whether you already have kitchen experience or are looking to start a career in hospitality, we'd love to hear from you. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the chef with the preparation of fresh ingredients and homemade dishes.
- Preparing vegetables, salads, garnishes and other ingredients for service.
- Supporting the chef during busy service periods.
- Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and organised at all times.
- Washing dishes, utensils, pots and pans.
- Receiving, checking and putting away deliveries.
- Rotating stock and maintaining food storage standards.
- Following all food hygiene, cleaning and health & safety procedures.
- Helping maintain the high standards expected in a fresh food kitchen.
What We're Looking For
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Able to work efficiently in a busy fresh food kitchen.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- A team player who enjoys working closely with others.
- Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not essential.
