Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Smartphone Repair Technician & Tester to join our growing operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out high-quality repairs, testing devices to ensure they meet our quality standards, and preparing smartphones for resale.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous mobile phone repair experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where quality and efficiency are equally important.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose hardware and software faults on smartphones.
- Carry out repairs including:
- Screen replacements
- Battery replacements
- Charging port repairs
- Camera repairs
- Speaker and microphone replacements
- Button and flex cable repairs
- Perform functional testing on repaired and incoming devices.
- Use diagnostic software and testing equipment to verify device performance.
- Ensure all devices meet company quality standards before dispatch.
- Accurately record repairs, test results and inventory movements.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe repair workspace.
- Assist with stock control of repair parts and consumables.
- Escalate complex technical issues where necessary.
- Support continuous improvement of repair and testing processes.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, operations and customer service teams.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Previous experience repairing smartphones (Apple, Samsung and other Android devices).
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good manual dexterity and confidence using precision tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Experience with refurbished mobile devices.
- Experience using diagnostic software.
- Knowledge of data wiping and device grading standards.
- Experience within electronics refurbishment or repair environments.
