The Setting
The Biltmore Mayfair brings together the heritage and grandeur of a distinguished London residence with refined contemporary luxury. Situated on Grosvenor Square in the heart of Mayfair, the hotel is home to 257 beautifully appointed guest rooms, 51 curated suites, The Biltmore Café, an all-year terrace — and The Pine Bar, one of the capital's most intimate and celebrated cocktail destinations.
Behind our bar, you'll work with rare spirits, fine wines, exceptional cognacs and a cocktail programme built to surprise and delight a discerning clientele of hotel guests, Mayfair locals and cocktail enthusiasts who travel across the city — and across the world — to sit at our bar.
The Role
As a Bartender at The Pine Bar, you will:
- Craft cocktails with precision, artistry and consistency — every serve, every shift
- Develop deep, expert knowledge of our wines, spirits, cognacs, cocktails and food offering
- Build genuine relationships with guests, learning regulars by name and anticipating their preferences
- Confidently execute classic cocktails and signature serves to the highest luxury standards
- Provide professional allergen guidance and considered beverage recommendations
- Maintain immaculate standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation behind the bar
- Ensure all equipment is fully stocked, maintained and service-ready
- Collaborate seamlessly with the kitchen, restaurant and In-Room Dining teams
- Use the hotel POS system accurately and efficiently
- Take the initiative and uphold service standards in the absence of supervisors or managers
- Upsell and cross-sell naturally, enhancing both guest experience and business performance
You
Our most successful Bartenders have:
- A genuine passion for cocktails, spirits and the craft of hospitality
- Previous experience within a luxury hotel, premium cocktail bar or high-end restaurant
- Strong cocktail knowledge and refined technical bartending skills
- Excellent communication and guest engagement abilities
- Professional presentation and an eye for detail
- A warm, confident and naturally personable approach to service
- A collaborative, team-focused mindset
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and late-night shifts
