Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Experienced GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) Laminator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality GRP components by laminating fiberglass materials with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure the production of durable, smooth, and flawless finished products that meet strict quality standards. Duties
- Prepare molds and surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying release agents to ensure optimal lamination conditions
- Cut, measure, and assemble fiberglass fabrics and resins using hand tools and power tools with accuracy
- Mix resin and catalyst according to specified ratios, maintaining safety protocols at all times
- Apply layers of fiberglass cloth or mat to molds, ensuring proper alignment and smoothness for a seamless finish
- Inspect finished laminates for defects such as air bubbles or uneven surfaces, performing touch-ups as necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards and company procedures at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a GRP laminator or in a similar fiberglass fabrication role with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and fabrication processes used in laminating operations
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication machinery
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and basic math measurements for precise work
- Warehouse experience is preferred to facilitate efficient material handling and inventory management
- Familiarity with construction painting techniques can be advantageous for finishing tasks
- Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials safely, and perform repetitive tasks reliably
