We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and customer-focused Retail Showroom & Customer Coordinator to join our growing team. As both a flooring retailer and commercial flooring contractor, this role is primarily focused on our retail showroom, helping customers find the perfect flooring solution for their homes while ensuring every enquiry is handled professionally from initial contact through to installation and aftersales support.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for interior design, and takes pride in providing outstanding customer service.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our retail customers, you'll play a key role in creating an exceptional buying experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming customers into our showroom and providing a warm, professional service.
- Helping customers choose the right flooring products for their home and lifestyle.
- Discussing colours, styles, textures and product options.
- Arranging and coordinating free home measuring appointments.
- Preparing quotations and following up customer enquiries.
- Managing customer orders from enquiry through to completion.
- Liaising with our estimating, installation and administration teams.
- Ordering samples and maintaining attractive showroom displays.
- Keeping the showroom clean, organised and well-presented.
- Answering telephone, email and online enquiries.
- Updating customer records and processing paperwork accurately.
- Supporting local marketing initiatives and social media activity where required.
- Building long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
- Aftersales customer care and support.
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping customers and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous experience in retail sales, showroom sales or customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly, confident and professional approach.
- Strong organisational and administration skills.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- The ability to multitask.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Experience within the flooring industry would be an advantage, but we would also welcome applicants from sectors such as kitchens, bathrooms, furniture, blinds, tiles, interiors, home improvement or similar.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position based within our showroom.
You will be expected to work some Saturdays on a rota basis to support our retail customers. Time off during the week will be provided where applicable.
Flexible working hours by agreement.
