Apprentice Primary School Sports Coach

Typical working hours between 7:30am–6:00pm depending on delivery schedules. 30 Hours Per Week.
We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Primary School Sports Coaches to join our growing team, supporting the delivery of high-quality PE, school sport, wrap around care and enrichment activities for children aged 4–11.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about sport, coaching and working with children who wants to gain hands-on experience whilst completing an apprenticeship qualification through Educationwise Academy.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of engaging PE lessons, sports sessions and enrichment activities
- Assist with breakfast clubs, after school clubs and holiday camp provision
- Help create a safe, inclusive and energetic learning environment
- Support children’s participation, confidence and enjoyment during activities
- Build positive relationships with children, school staff and parents
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety and company procedures at all times
- Support behaviour management and engagement during sessions
- Reflect on feedback and continuously develop your coaching practice
- Complete apprenticeship training and practical learning alongside your role
Requirements of the Role
- Passion for sport, physical activity and working with children
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, professional and enthusiastic approach
- Ability to engage and motivate children positively
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Some experience coaching, teaching or working with children aged 4–11
- Commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Level 2 National Governing Body Sports Qualification
- Experience within primary schools, sports coaching or childcare settings
- Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety within schools
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Enhanced DBS certificate
- Safeguarding qualifications or training
