We require a Customer Services Operative (Cleaning) who can work independently and as part of a team.
This position is suitable for an individual who is well presented, reliable, organised, proative and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service.
Purpose of the Role
To carry out regular inspections of the shopping malls, public areas, service areas, car parks and the site ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the premises reacting to rubbish and spillages as necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out regular inspections of shopping malls, public areas, service areas, car park and the site generally ensuring safety and cleanliness of the premises and react to rubbish and spillages as necessary.
- Provide an initial point of contact for members of the public, tenants, staff and contractors and delivering high levels of customer service at all times.
- Carry out cleaning of the centre as per cleaning schedules (including shopping malls, offices, back of house, service yards, customer toilets, baby changing, staff rest rooms, car parks etc) ensuring all task sheets are completed by the end of the shift, including any additional tasks that have been identified.
- Ensuring delivery of cleaning in accordance with the Site Assignment Instructions, legislative and industry standards.
- Liaise with Line Manager on any matters of safety
- Complete all necessary paperwork/checklists as required.
- Administer first aid only after completion of training
- Assist the Centre Management team in the event of an emergency/evacuation
- Ensure all safety checks are carried out on any machinery before use.
- Ensure machinery is used in a safe and proper manner in accordance with the training received.
- Uniform and PPE will be supplied and it is expected that employees are wearing the appropriate attire.
- Assist the centre with its cost savings and recycling initiatives as required
- Be prepared to be flexible in an emergency to enable shifts to be fully manned.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- IOSH Working Safely (Preferred – not essential)
- First Aid Training (Preferred - not essential)
