Position: Curriculum & Quality Manager

Contract Duration: 4+ Months
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Pay Rate: PAYE: £28.91 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, development and delivery of a high-quality adult learning service
- Develop an inclusive curriculum that meets local skills priorities, employer needs and funding requirements
- Oversee quality assurance processes to improve teaching, learning and assessment
- Monitor performance and use data to improve learner outcomes and service delivery
- Ensure compliance with funding regulations, audit requirements and Ofsted standards
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), promoting a strong safeguarding culture and meeting all statutory responsibilities
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain continuous Ofsted readiness
- Manage and support staff to achieve high standards of performance
- Build effective relationships with employers, community organisations and other stakeholders
- Promote innovation, continuous improvement and positive outcomes for learners
Person Specification:
Essential Experience:
- Significant experience in adult education or further education
- Proven experience in curriculum development and quality management
- Experience leading and motivating teams to achieve high performance
- Experience analysing performance data to drive service improvements
- Experience of safeguarding responsibilities, including acting as or supporting a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Experience working with employers, community organisations and external stakeholders
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements, funding regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent curriculum planning, quality assurance and performance management skills
- Strong leadership, people management and staff development abilities
- Ability to analyse data and implement continuous quality improvements
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant management information systems
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Education, Teaching, Leadership, or a related discipline
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
- Relevant safeguarding training with the ability to undertake or hold Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) responsibilities
Desirable Qualifications:
- Leadership and management qualification
- Assessor and/or Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification
- Knowledge or training relating to GLA-funded provision
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in curriculum design, quality improvement or safeguarding
