Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Wrap Around Care Club Manager to lead and coordinate after-school and possibly some holiday care programs for children. This energetic role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe and engaging environment, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. As a key leader within our team, you will inspire a nurturing atmosphere that promotes learning, fun, and development while managing a team of caregivers and activity coordinators. The ideal candidate is passionate about childcare, possesses excellent organisational skills, and thrives in a lively, fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Plan and organize engaging activities that support children's social, emotional, and educational development in line with program goals
- Supervise daily operations of the wrap-around care club, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of childcare assistants and activity leaders to deliver high-quality care
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on their children's progress and address any concerns
- Manage scheduling, attendance records, and program logistics efficiently to ensure smooth running of sessions
- Maintain a safe environment by conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Promote inclusive practices by supporting children from diverse backgrounds, including those who speak English or French
- Drive the continuous improvement of program activities by gathering feedback from children, parents, and staff
Requirements
- Proven experience in childcare roles such as teaching, nannying, or childcare management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team in a lively environment
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is highly desirable
- Valid driving license with the ability to transport children safely when/if required
- Knowledge of child development principles and safeguarding procedures
- Ability to plan creative activities that cater to different age groups and interests
- Flexibility to work during before/after-school hours, holidays, and occasional weekends as needed
