Key Responsibilities
You will be the Head Chef’s key partner, supporting and leading the kitchen’s day-to-day operations while maintaining exceptional standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include:
Execute, prepare, and present dishes to specification, with a strong focus on authentic Korean techniques and flavours.
Lead the kitchen during service, managing workflow, timing and team coordination to ensure smooth and consistent execution.
Support the training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff, fostering a disciplined, positive, and professional working environment.
Oversee stock levels, supplier ordering, and stock rotation to minimise waste and maintain cost efficiency.
- Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times.
Support the Head Chef and ownership team on menu development, seasonal specials, and new recipe ideas.
Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and correct maintenance of kitchen equipment, reporting repairs where necessary.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie in a fast-paced, quality-driven restaurant.
- Leadership & Communication
Confident leading a team under pressure with clear communication and a calm, professional approach.
Food Safety & Hygiene certification (Level 2 or Level 3) is essential.
