The immune system is the body's defence network. It's constantly reading signals and coordinating responses, deciding when to attack, tolerate or repair. When that system goes wrong, it drives some of the hardest problems in medicine: autoimmune disease, cancer, chronic inflammation, infection, and more.
But immunology remains one of biology's most complex frontiers. Autoimmune disease is so poorly understood that drug response rates are often as low as 10-20%, costing patients years of ineffective treatment and contributing to billions of dollars in failed clinical trials.
The next leap in medicine will come from AI models that learn biology. By training on large, multimodal biomedical datasets we believe it is possible to simulate immune disease, predict drug response, and radically improve how therapies are discovered, developed and delivered.

We are hiring a Head of Data Partnerships to build Immunara’s global data strategy and secure the datasets required to develop frontier models of the immune system. Your goal is to identify and unlock the world’s most important biological datasets. These datasets are not publicly available and require trust, relationships, and persistence to access.
You will own this process end to end, working closely with our technical team to determine what data Immunara needs, identify where it exists, build relationships with the organizations that steward it, and convert those relationships into durable partnerships.
You will spend significant time with researchers, clinicians, health-system leaders, biopharma executives, data custodians, and policymakers around the world. Internally, you will work closely with our founders, machine-learning researchers, and scientists to ensure that every partnership advances our research roadmap.
Translate Immunara's scientific priorities into a clear data acquisition strategy.
Define what makes a dataset valuable, considering biological relevance, modality, longitudinal depth, patient characterisation, treatment exposure, outcomes, scale, and permitted uses.
Identify critical gaps in our data portfolio and determine the best route to fill them.
Find high-value datasets held by health systems, biobanks, academic groups, clinical-trial sponsors, pharmaceutical companies, laboratories, registries, and public-sector programmes.
Develop relationships with the scientific, clinical, commercial, and institutional leaders responsible for those assets.
Create partnership models that offer value to counterparties.
Lead prospective partnerships from initial contact through diligence, negotiation, contracting, and data delivery.
Structure data licences, research collaborations, and strategic partnerships that are scientifically useful and commercially durable.
Coordinate with legal, privacy, security, and technical stakeholders to resolve barriers rapidly.
Build and manage a rigorous pipeline of global data opportunities.
Prioritize partnerships by expected value, feasibility, exclusivity, strategic importance, cost, and time to access.
Track new cohorts, research networks, trials, and infrastructure programmes before they become obvious or widely contested.
Develop repeatable systems for sourcing, evaluating, securing, and expanding data partnerships.
You combine scientific credibility with commercial force. You can discuss cohort design and assay modalities with a principal investigator, navigate governance with a hospital data custodian, and negotiate commercial terms with a pharmaceutical executive.
Above all, you should be unusually persistent. Important datasets are rarely unlocked through a standard sales process. We want someone who can find the person who matters, understand what they value, develop the right proposition, and remain engaged until a meaningful partnership exists.
You will likely bring:
Substantial knowledge of biomedical data, including clinical, genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, imaging, pathology, or other multimodal datasets.
A strong understanding of what makes human data useful - or useless - for biological machine learning.
A track record of developing partnerships across healthcare, biopharma or academia.
Direct responsibility for securing access to controlled human data and carrying data-use, licensing, or institutional agreements through to signature and delivery.
Practical knowledge of health-data governance and privacy frameworks, particularly GDPR, HIPAA, and controlled-access research environments.
The ability to reason about consent, permitted purpose, data residency, IP, publication rights, model training, and commercialization.
Excellent judgement in complex negotiations involving scientific, legal, technical, and commercial stakeholders.
The agency to create momentum inside large institutions where ownership is fragmented and progress is rarely linear.
Clear written and verbal communication, coupled with the ability to represent Immunara credibly at the highest levels.
Leading data partnerships, business development, research alliances, or data licensing in biotechnology, healthcare, or biopharma.
Working with autoimmune disease cohorts, immunology datasets, clinical trials, or longitudinal patient data.
Building collaborations with health systems, national biobanks, patient registries, or international research consortia.
Scientific training or hands-on research experience in immunology, genomics, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related discipline.
Negotiating partnerships spanning multiple jurisdictions.
Creating novel partnership structures where a conventional data-licensing transaction would not have worked.
Data is the foundation on which biological AI models will transform human health.
