Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Subcontracted Joiner to join our team on an ongoing basis, carrying out high-quality domestic work including kitchen fitting, flooring and tiling.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled, reliable and professional tradesperson who takes pride in their workmanship and can work independently to a high standard. You will be responsible for completing jobs efficiently, keeping work areas clean and tidy, and delivering a professional finish for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Full kitchen installations, including fitting units, worktops, doors, panels and associated joinery.
- Kitchen alterations and modifications where required.
- Installation of laminate, engineered and other types of flooring.
- Preparation of floors prior to flooring installation.
- Wall and floor tiling, including kitchen splashbacks and other domestic areas.
- Accurate measuring, cutting and fitting of materials.
- Working from plans, measurements and job specifications.
- Carrying out finishing and snagging work to a high standard.
- Working professionally in customers' homes and maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
- Liaising with our team regarding job requirements, materials and any issues encountered on site.
- Completing work within agreed timescales while maintaining excellent quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a joiner, kitchen fitter or multi-skilled tradesperson.
- Strong experience in kitchen fitting, flooring and tiling.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Own tools suitable for the work required.
- Own transport and willingness to travel to jobs.
- Ability to complete work to a consistently high standard.
Relevant qualifications and trade experience are preferred, but proven practical experience and quality of workmanship are the most important factors.
