A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operator to work in our facility in Severn Beach. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate and efficient movement and storage of food products within the warehouse environment, adhering to strict quality, safety and compliance standards while supporting the needs of the department and wider organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform accurate picking of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, and wrap, check, and despatch orders to meet deadlines.
- Load and unload vehicles to ensure the safe, efficient and timely movement of goods.
- Receive, check, and store deliveries via system-directed put-away to maintain stock integrity.
- Operate reach truck and counterbalance forklifts daily to move and locate pallets safely.
- Conduct cycle counts and stock accuracy checks to uphold precise records.
- Book stock movements on warehouse systems to keep data current and traceable.
- Maintain cleanliness and follow Health & Safety and food hygiene procedures to support compliant operations.
- Replenish locations, split stock, and complete warehouse moves to optimise availability and workflow.
- Investigate routine discrepancies, provide basic warehouse information, and escalate non-routine issues to protect inventory accuracy.
- Work day or night shifts as rostered, to meet operational requirements.
- Rotate across all warehouse related tasks to support efficient warehouse operations.
Person specification/qualifications/capabilities:
- Reach truck and counterbalance licenses are required
- Demonstrable experience of operating powered lift equipment and manual handling to move and secure palletised stock safely.
- Demonstrable experience of conducting cycle counts, investigating routine variances and maintaining accurate records in warehouse systems.
- Demonstrable experience of working rota-driven shifts in compliance with health, safety and food hygiene standards.
- Understanding of stock control, cycle counting and booking stock movements in warehouse systems.
- Awareness of safe operation and basic checks of powered lift equipment and manual handling for palletised stock.
- Awareness of food hygiene, health and safety procedures and site-specific compliance for warehouse operations.

The hours for this role are 40 hours per week Monday – Friday on rotating shifts of 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm with a paid 30 minute break.
