Make a Difference in Continuing Healthcare Quality and Governance
Are you an experienced Continuing Healthcare (CHC) professional looking for an opportunity to lead, influence and improve outcomes for individuals and families navigating complex Appeals and retrospective CHC reviews?
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Assessor – PUPoC & Appeals Clinical Team (Band 7) to lead the delivery of Previously Unassessed Periods of Care (PUPoC) reviews & Appeals and support the highest standards of quality, governance and decision-making within our All Age CHC Quality Improvement & Governance Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing retrospective Continuing Healthcare reviews & Appeals, ensuring every case is assessed fairly, lawfully and compassionately in line with the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare.
As a senior member of the team, you will:
Lead the end-to-end management of PUPoC cases and Appeals.
Quality assure assessments, recommendations and decision rationales.
Provide expert advice and guidance on complex retrospective reviews.
Monitor performance, case progression and statutory timescales.
Support backlog reduction whilst maintaining quality and consistency.
Work closely with clinical, legal and finance colleagues to deliver robust and defensible decisions.
Communicate sensitively and effectively with individuals, families and representatives.
Identify trends and learning opportunities to improve CHC services and governance.
