Currently seeking 1 Yard Operatives for a busy bagging operation
Starting employment: July 2025
Hours: between 06:00 - 18:30 Mon - Fri
Saturdays at overtime rate.
Overtime available regularly especially through summer months
Responsibilities of the Yard Operator:
- Unloading and distributing of a variety of items from a wagon into the warehouse, the items will vary in size so the job can be labour intensive.
- Pallet work categorization
- Repairing Pallets
- Relevant training will be given.
- Cleaning
- Loading vehicles
- Unloading vehicles
- Dealing with public
- Working on bagging plants
Requirements of the Yard Operative:
- Attention to detail
- Valid Counterbalance licence
- Good accuracy and organisational skills
- Ability to work to target
- Heavy lifting
- Able to work in all weather conditions as this is a full time outside role
- Good punctuality and attendance
The person:
- Highly adaptable, resilient and tenacious with high levels of energy and drive.
- Someone that is physically active, as this role is located outside, it will involve lifting heavy building materials
- Someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Applicants with wheeled shovel loader experience will have an advantage but training can be provided for the right candidate.
