The Warehouse FLT Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient movement of goods within the warehouse using forklift equipment. The role supports goods-in, storage, replenishment, and dispatch operations, ensuring stock is handled correctly and workflows run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklift trucks (Counterbalance, Reach, or other FLT types) to move, load, and unload pallets and materials
- Safely load and unload delivery vehicles
- Transport stock to designated warehouse locations
- Support picking, packing, and order preparation when required
- Complete daily safety checks on FLT equipment and report defects
- Maintain accurate stock handling and follow warehouse procedures
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and free from hazards
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including manual handling guidelines
- Work collaboratively with warehouse colleagues and supervisors to meet operational targets
Skills & Requirements
- Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance, Reach, or both)
- Previous warehouse or FLT experience preferred
- Strong awareness of safety procedures
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physically capable of lifting and moving goods when required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
Desirable
- Experience with handheld scanners or warehouse management systems
- Flexibility to support other warehouse tasks when needed
