Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Bar Staff/Waiting Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and a positive attitude. This role involves serving drinks and food, ensuring guests have a memorable experience, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment is preferred. The position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a lively and welcoming setting.
Duties
- Serve drinks and food to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
- Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff
- Ensure all serving areas are clean, organised, and well-stocked
- Handle cash and process payments using the POS system
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with regulations
- Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and resetting for new guests
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests professionally and warmly
- Manage multiple tables effectively during busy periods, demonstrating good time management skills
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and guests
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or bar service is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable
- Strong serving skills with an understanding of customer needs
- Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Friendly personality with good communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or shifts as required
