We are seeking a new Head Chef to join our team at Boston & Co Cafe and events venue. The cafe is situated at Bentley Pavilion in a lovely family park and is in its fourth year of successful business. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who can bring their own flare and help support the business as it grows.
About the role:
You will be a professional individual who is able to perform well under pressure, multitask and organise your work day independently. You must also be able to work well with the rest of the team and be willing to take on different tasks to help others where necessary. Your usual work days will be 5 days Tuesday-Saturday during the hours of 9-4pm. We are also able to offer more hours if the candidate is willing to work occasional evenings for event buffets and restaurant nights, and suitable for other tasks such as cover front of house staff members when on holiday.
We are looking for someone with the confidence to work independently, supervise the Sous Chef, manage stock and run service + daily buffets. Subject to References, an interview and trial shift require, then a 3 month probationary period.

Cook/Chef Duties include but not limited to:
* Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals for customers.
* Prepare, cook and serve buffets for events.
* Maintain accurate food hygiene and stock records.
* Supervise other staff members when working in the kitchen.
* Ensure the kitchen is safe, clean and tidy at all times.
* Manage deep kitchen cleans & cleaning schedule.
* Come up with ideas for specials and contribute towards new menus.
Relevant experience is essential.
* Have a great knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety regulations.
* Have a great knowledge of allergies and dietary requirements.
* Have a great knowledge of food preparation and a passion for food and cooking.
* Have great personal and professional standards, being able to stay calm during busy times.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: £13.50-£16.00 per hour
