Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate home care tailored to each client’s unique needs, including assistance with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily routines
- Develop and follow detailed care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure consistent, high-quality support
- Use effective communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families, ensuring their comfort and understanding of care procedures
- Drive between client locations safely and efficiently, maintaining reliable transportation for appointments or errands
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, updates on health status, and any incidents or concerns using IT systems designed for care documentation
- Support clients in engaging with their community and participating in activities that promote mental and physical well-being
- Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines, including infection control protocols, to safeguard both clients and yourself
Skills
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record for safe transportation duties.
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care services is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret and follow detailed care plans effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English to interact clearly with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude and patience when supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Good organisational skills to manage schedules, appointments, and documentation efficiently.
