Illuminate Care Group – Brand New Children’s Home

Illuminate Care Group is opening a new, one-bedded children’s home in Coniston, Doncaster, thoughtfully designed to support young people with complex needs. This home will offer safety, predictability, and emotionally attuned care for a young people who need adults who truly understand him.
We are seeking dedicated Complex Specialist Support workers who want more than just a job—people who want to be part of real, lasting change.
About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to work in a small, consistent team, providing highly individualised care to one child in a love-led, trauma-responsive environment.
You will be supported to tune in, slow down, and respond with curiosity, patience, and compassion.
We are currently seeking 3 candidates for the following contracts:
- 2 x 36 hours per week
- 1 x 28 hours per week
Salary:
· Level 1 £30,000
· Level 2 £32,000
· Senior £34,000
Plus, a sleeping-in payment of £60.00 for all levels and mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.
All of the roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS

You will work in an attachment-informed, trauma-responsive way, recognising sensory needs, emotional states, and non-verbal communication, and responding with consistency and care.
Who We’re Looking For Candidates who have:
- Experience supporting autistic children, particularly those who are non-verbal (Desirable)
- Understanding of sensory processing, distress behaviours, and emotional regulation
- Experience in residential childcare, SEMH, or trauma-informed settings (Desirable)
- Calm, emotionally available, and resilient
- Able to hold boundaries with warmth, empathy, and predictability
- Willing to work flexibly across days, nights, and sleep-ins
- Senior requirement only - QCF Level 3 in residential childcare or equivalent
