Veterinary Hydrotherapist / Physiotherapist

Elizavet is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Veterinary Physiotherapist and Hydrotherapist to join our growing independent veterinary practice in North London.
Based on Belsize Road, Elizavet provides general practice, emergency and referral services within a modern, well-equipped and supportive clinical environment. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to provide thoughtful, individualised care to every patient, with clinical excellence, empathy and clear client communication at the centre of our approach.
This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for an established and already busy rehabilitation caseload. The position requires 32 hours per week across an average of 4 days per week.
The role
You will assess and treat a varied canine caseload, including orthopaedic, neurological, post-operative and chronic mobility cases. You will work alongside our existing Physiotherapist as well as independently while collaborating closely with our veterinary surgeons and wider clinical team to develop and deliver appropriate, evidence-led rehabilitation plans.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive veterinary physiotherapy assessments
- Delivering physiotherapy and hydrotherapy treatments tailored to each patient
- Designing remedial exercise programmes and clear home exercise plans
- Monitoring patient progress and adapting treatment plans appropriately
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and communicating updates to referring veterinary surgeons
- Explaining diagnoses, treatment plans and clinical progress to clients in clear, accessible language
- Working confidently as the sole physiotherapist or hydrotherapist when required
- Collaborating with veterinary surgeons and other members of the clinical team on case management
- Supporting the continued development and growth of Elizavet’s rehabilitation service
About you
The successful candidate will have:
- A degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy
- Registration with a recognised professional body, such as RAMP
- A relevant and recognised hydrotherapy qualification
- Proven clinical experience across a varied rehabilitation caseload
- The confidence and competence to work sole charge
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
- The ability to apply academic and textbook knowledge effectively to complex real-world cases
- Experience prescribing remedial exercise programmes and producing appropriate home exercise plans
- A good understanding of canine behaviour and its impact on assessment and treatment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to translate complex medical information into clear and reassuring explanations for clients
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary veterinary team
- The flexibility and confidence to integrate quickly and take responsibility for an existing busy caseload
