Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team as Banked Staff. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including out in the community, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in our care, particularly for individuals with specific needs such as dementia, autism and LD.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning and meal preparation.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for service users by following hygiene protocols and safety guidelines.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as per organisational policies.
Requirements
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care would be an advantage but are not essential as training will be provided.
