Pharmacy Dispenser – Full Time
Independent Distant Selling Pharmacy | Monday–Friday | No Weekends
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Pharmacy Dispenser to join our friendly team at our independent distant selling pharmacy.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced dispenser who enjoys working as part of a team and is looking for a stable Monday–Friday role with no weekend working.
The Role
Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Full time Weekends: No weekend working Location: Runcorn, WA7 1SQ
As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of our pharmacy, with a particular focus on the safe and accurate dispensing of medicines for care home patients.
You will work closely with our pharmacists and wider pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently, while maintaining high standards of patient safety and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispensing NHS and private prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Processing prescriptions and preparing medication for dispatch
- Supporting the dispensing of medicines for care homes
- Ensuring care home medication is prepared accurately and within required timescales
- Completing dispensing and checking processes in accordance with pharmacy procedures
- Liaising with pharmacists and other members of the pharmacy team
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Dealing with queries from care homes and other healthcare professionals when required
- Assisting with stock management, ordering and stock rotation
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation and compliance
- Following SOPs, pharmacy procedures and relevant regulatory requirements
- Supporting the wider pharmacy team with day-to-day tasks
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- NVQ Level 2 qualified in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) – essential
- Experienced in a pharmacy dispensing environment
- Ideally experienced in care home dispensing or willing to learn
- Accurate and methodical, with excellent attention to detail
- Organised and able to manage workload and deadlines
- A good communicator and confident working as part of a team
- Reliable, professional and committed to patient safety
- Comfortable working in a busy distant selling/online pharmacy environment
- Able to work independently while also contributing positively to the wider team
