Responsibilities
- Assist groomers by handling dogs safely and calmly during grooming procedures
- Prepare dogs for grooming by bathing, drying, brushing, and trimming as needed
- Ensure all grooming tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained
- Monitor dogs’ behavior during grooming to ensure safety and comfort
- Support with kennel cleaning, feeding, and basic animal care tasks when necessary
- Help manage appointment schedules and communicate effectively with pet owners
- Lift and carry dogs of various sizes safely, following proper heavy lifting techniques
Requirements
- Passion for animals with a genuine interest in animal care and grooming processes
- Prior experience with veterinary work or animal care is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling larger dogs or equipment
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
- Flexibility to work weekends or flexible hours as needed
