Mechanic – Job Description
Kith Cars is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience using both power and hand tools, and a passion for delivering high-quality vehicle repairs and maintenance.
This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimum performance, reliability, and safety for our customers.
A Level 3 Motor Vehicle Qualification is required for this position.
Please note: This role includes a 1-month probationary period to assess performance, reliability, and suitability within the team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify faults and mechanical issues.
- Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension systems, transmissions, and other vehicle components.
- Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Carry out diagnostics and troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs completed and parts used.
- Follow health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and professional.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Requirements & Skills
- Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (required).
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic knowledge.
- Experience using workshop equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new repair techniques and technologies.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £17.00-£20.00 per hour
