Envirosport are looking for a reliable and hardworking Full-Time Operative to join our growing team working across the North West.
We specialise in the maintenance and repair of artificial sports and play surfaces, working predominantly at schools and sports clubs. As a member of SAPCA, we expect all employees to maintain high professional standards and conduct themselves appropriately while on client sites at all times.
Role Overview
This is predominantly a lone-working role covering a variety of sites, mostly across the North West. You will be responsible for completing scheduled maintenance and repair work set by the office, while ensuring the company vehicle and machinery assigned to you are maintained and cared for appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out maintenance and repair works on artificial sports and play surfaces
- Following daily and weekly work schedules provided by the office
- Operating and maintaining company machinery and equipment
- Ensuring your assigned company vehicle and machinery are kept clean, safe, and in good order
- Working independently to complete jobs to a high standard
- Travelling between sites as required
- Representing the company professionally on customer sites
Requirements
- Experience in grounds care/groundskeeping essential
- Experience working with artificial grass preferred, but not essential
- Full clean UK driving licence required
- Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Good time management and communication skills
- Flexible approach to working hours and travel
Working Hours
- Typical working/travel hours between 06:00 – 17:00
- Usual working day is 8–10 hours
- Some weekend work required (approximately 5% of working time)
Working Away
Approximately 15% of the role involves working away from home. When required:
- Accommodation will be provided
- A nightly allowance will be paid
