We are looking for a reliable, experienced and discreet Private Housekeeper to support the day-to-day running and upkeep of a private residence.
The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean, organised and well-presented home and will be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
This is a position requiring trust, discretion, attention to detail and flexibility, with the successful candidate becoming a valued part of the household.
Key Responsibilities
- General cleaning and upkeep of the residence.
- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and other household spaces.
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing as required.
- Changing bed linen and towels.
- Laundry, including washing, drying, ironing and folding clothes and household linens.
- Keeping wardrobes, cupboards and household areas organised.
- Ensuring household supplies and cleaning products are adequately stocked.
- Maintaining a consistently high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- Assisting with preparation of the home before and after guests visit.
- Handling delicate items, furnishings and clothing with appropriate care.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or repairs that require attention.
- Occasional additional household tasks as reasonably required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in housekeeping or working within a private household.
- Highly organised and attentive to detail.
- Reliable, trustworthy and discreet.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Able to maintain high standards without requiring constant supervision.
- Flexible and willing to accommodate occasional changes to working hours.
- Professional, polite and respectful of privacy.
- Comfortable working around guests and social occasions.
- Able to use standard household cleaning equipment and products safely.
- Ideally holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle.
