About the Role
We are recruiting for Casual Learning Deliverers to support our Learning and Participation Team in providing engaging learning activities for a diverse range of ages and audiences. The main audiences for this role are primary school children during term time and families during the school holidays.
We offer a wide range of curriculum-led workshops for primary schools, which focus on history, science, technology and art using objects and stories from our vast collection. These sessions are interactive, enquiry-based learning opportunities and attract schools from across the region.
The role also offers you the opportunity to lead creative sessions for family visitors during term time, in school holidays and at weekends, as well as the opportunity to deliver guided tours and other activities for adult visitors at our sites. Full support and training will be provided for this.
This role is mainly based at Sheffield Museums sites, but there is occasional work in community or school settings across the region, as well as weekend and evening work.
About You
The successful candidates will have:

experience of teaching or delivering to a range of audiences including schools or families

the ability to communicate effectively and adapt delivery style in line with audience need

experience of working effectively as part of a team as well as on your own

an interest in art, culture, industry, science, technology and heritage
-
flexible and reliable approach to working hours and availability
