About the role
Cat Sitters of Knutsford are a local business who require new team members to meet the demand for our services. We provide in-home cat sitting services that are tailored to each and every cat we care for, as well as cat-parents! We're excited to be on the lookout for cat-loving, friendly people to join our cat sitting team as a regular sitter.
We are looking for candidates within 5 miles of Knutsford.
The role will see you perform morning and evening visits, and individual schedules can be discussed so we can find bookings that will suit your needs.
It’s important to understand that this role is best suited for “side-hustle” style work, rather than a primary source of income. Ideally, we’d be looking for candidates with an existing “9-5” role and who are no longer in full-time education.
Key Responsibilities
Commuting to providing in-home cat sitting services which includes:
- Providing fresh food and water
- Cleaning bowls and utensils
- Cleaning, changing or scooping litter trays
- Administering medication (optional)
- Attending to the cat(s) well-being, including brushing and all round love!
- Attending welcome meetings to establish peace of mind for new customers and greeting their cat(s)
- Communicating with customers using a secure app using your mobile
- Ensuring the security of both cats and customer homes
- Reporting any accidents or issues to the team
- Informing the team if you require top-up of provided supplies
Other Responsibilities
- Providing visits over holiday time including Easter, Christmas and New Year
- Attending coffee meet-ups to have a chat and team check-ins
Requirements
- Cat-lover!
- Friendly and trust-worthy manner
- Able to use an App to log visits and share updates
- Experience with professional customer communication
- Smartphone with a good quality camera (can be discussed)
- Good English speaking and written skills
- Full UK Driving License
- Able to have or can provide an existing DBS check
This is very much a flexible role which can meet your existing schedules and we're happy to sit-down and discuss how you can fit into the team.
Process for recruitment
We'll invite candidates to participate in an online 1-1 call, and where successful, will arrange an in-person secondary interview.
Your pay will be 50% of booking cost, plus 100% of any tips provided by customers. Additionally you will receive 2x pay on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
