Barista/Cafe Assistant – Old Foundry Coffee, in both Falmouth and Penryn
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking person to join our small team at Old Foundry Coffee, across both our takeaway cafés in Falmouth and Penryn. This role is perfect for someone who loves making and serving great coffee, enjoys being hands-on with food, and takes pride in looking after customers and their team.
Hours
- 24–32 hours per week
- Must include Saturdays
About the Role
You’ll be part of a tight-knit team serving breakfast and lunch to our loyal local customers. We’re all about homemade food, proper coffee and genuine hospitality.
Your day will include:
- Dialling in and making consistently excellent coffee
- Preparing fresh food from scratch (think fresh salads, sandwiches and cakes)
- Delivering brilliant, friendly customer service
- Taking responsibility for your station and helping the café run smoothly
- Supporting the rest of the team during busy periods
- Keeping the café clean, organised and up to standard
What You’ll Need:
- Confident barista skills – able to dial in and make quality coffee under pressure
- Experience in a café or food environment
- Level 2 Food Hygiene & Allergen Awareness (or willingness to complete before starting)
- A genuine love of good food, coffee and people
- Reliability, enthusiasm, and the confidence to take initiative
