Hire Desk Controller

We’re looking for a Hire Desk Controller to join our team, where you’ll play a key role in supporting customers with their hire equipment requirements and ensuring a smooth, professional service from enquiry through to completion.
What you’ll be doing

Handling customer enquiries for Powered Access, Forklifts, Telehandlers and Plant
- Liaising with customers regarding hire, sales and service enquiries
- Proactively promoting the company and its products and services
- Negotiating hire rates and preparing quotations, including relevant specification data
- Managing general administrative duties and resolving customer queries
- Supporting the wider team with additional tasks as required
What we’re looking for

Proven customer service experience within a high‑volume hire desk environment
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer‑focused approach
- Ability to work under your own initiative with excellent organisation and time‑management skills
- Knowledge of plant, machinery, small tools, lifting and safety equipment is desirable — but not essential, as full training will be provided
