Jacobi Jayne & Co is the UK’s premier supplier of wildlife conservation products. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a proactive Storesman with a positive attitude to join our team near Herne Bay.
The Role
· Inbound/Outbound: Dealing with delivery drivers. Unload lorries/containers and load outgoing pallets for daily shipping.
· Stock Control: Check goods against delivery notes, perform stock counts, and manage replenishment.
· Space Management: Proactively consolidate pallet spaces and organise warehouse layouts.
· Site Maintenance: Keep the yard and warehouses clean, safe, and tidy; ensure forklifts are kept charged.
· Admin: Use internal IT systems to print pick lists and track stock rotation.
Requirements
· Attitude: A positive, "can-do" approach to work and a willingness to help the team.
· Shift Pattern: Once trained, you will move to a 4-on 4-off rotation (7am–7pm), which includes weekends.
· Training Period: You must be available to work Monday to Friday during your initial training period.
· IT Proficient: Comfortable using computers and handheld devices for stock data.
· Experience: Previous warehouse or forklift experience is helpful but not essential. Full training will be provided.
