Overview
Join our vibrant culinary team as a Breakfast Chef and bring morning menus to life with creativity, precision, and passion! In this energetic role, you will be the cornerstone of our breakfast service. Typical service is buffet based with non-buffet dishes being made to order from the kitchen. In addition to breakfast service the breakfast chef will assist with main menu prep and function prep as well as checking and storing delvieries.
Duties
- Prepare and cook hot buffet dishes for a Full Scottish Breakfast, ensuring that the buffet selection remains consistant and fresh.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, presentation standards, and food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
- Assist in preparation of function food and general menu prep.
- Check, record, date and store deliveries as and when they arrive.
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen safety practices and food hygiene standards
- Previous experience with breakfast preparation for buffet-style service is advantageous
- Familiarity with culinary techniques specific to breakfast dishes is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Breakfast is served daily Monday - Saturday from 7am to 9.30am and on Sundays from 8am to 10am. The breakfast chef hours will normally be 6am - 12noon, 5 days from 7.
Additional hours may be available to cover lunch service.
Due to the working hours of this position, you must be living or commutable to Montrose or willing to relocate.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
