As part of our energetic front of house team, you will be instrumental in delivering great hospitality at one of our popular destination country inns in West Dorset, all within driving distance of Dorchester, Weymouth and Bridport.
We are seeking an experienced and mature Front of House team member who is enthusiastic and dedicated to delivering outstanding service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in table service, cellar knowledge and bar work, along with the ability to manage telephone calls and enquiries effectively and check customers into their guest rooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests
- Wait tables and serve drinks efficiently
- Manage incoming telephone calls and respond to enquiries
- Ensure good communication between the front of house and kitchen staff during evening service
- Open and/or close the venue as required and be responsible for cashing up at the end of the night
- Work independently and take initiative during shifts
- Ensure a clean and organised front of house area
- Handle any customer issues or concerns professionally
Qualifications:
- Previous hospitality experience is essential
- Experience in waiting tables and bar work
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work lunchtime and or evening shifts
- Must be comfortable with lone working situations
- Must be available to work some weekend shifts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
