About Changing Lives
Changing Lives is a local charity dedicated to making a positive difference to people and communities across North Somerset.
We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and organised volunteer to join our team in Clevedon and help us tell our story, promote our work and grow our presence within the local community.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys social media, photography, writing and marketing, and would like to use their skills to support a local charity.
It could also be an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain practical marketing experience and build their CV or portfolio.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Volunteer Marketing Assistant, you will support our day-to-day marketing and communications.
Your activities could include:
- Creating engaging posts for Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms
- Taking photographs and short videos of our work and activities
- Writing social media posts, stories and promotional content
- Helping to keep our website up to date
- Creating posters, flyers and other promotional materials
- Helping promote fundraising activities and events
- Sharing stories about the positive difference Changing Lives makes
- Helping us build relationships with local businesses and community organisations
- Supporting our efforts to attract donations, sponsorship and partnerships
- Helping us grow our local social media following
- Coming up with new and creative ideas to promote the charity
You won't be expected to do everything — we'll work with you to find the areas that best suit your interests and skills.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Creative and enthusiastic
- Interested in marketing and social media
- A good communicator and writer
- Comfortable using Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms
- Interested in photography, video or content creation
- Friendly and confident when communicating with local businesses and the community
- Organised and reliable
- Able to work independently
- Passionate about helping others and supporting our local community
Previous marketing experience isn't essential.
