The Role
We are looking for an experienced, passionate and highly motivated Senior Coach / Site Manager to take a leadership role within one of our CrossFit communities.
This is more than a coaching position.
We are looking for someone who wants to take genuine ownership of a site — someone who cares about the members, the coaching team, the atmosphere, the standards and the success of the business.
You will still be an active and visible coach on the floor, but alongside coaching you will become the day-to-day leader of the site.
You'll know what's happening, what needs attention, which members need a conversation, how the coaching team is performing and where we can make things better.
You won't be expected to do everything yourself.
You will be expected to notice, take ownership and make things happen.
What You'll Be Responsible ForCoaching & Member Experience
You'll set the standard for coaching at the site.
You'll be expected to:
- Deliver exceptional CrossFit group coaching.
- Create an inclusive, energetic and professional class environment.
- Know our members as individuals, not just names on a class register.
- Support new members through their first weeks and months.
- Recognise members who may be disengaging and proactively check in with them.
- Celebrate progress and help members remain motivated.
- Support members with scaling and appropriate training options.
- Identify opportunities where members may benefit from additional Performance Coaching.
- Help create the community atmosphere that makes people want to stay.
Coaching Team Leadership
As Senior Coach, you'll help develop the people around you.
This includes:
- Acting as the first point of contact for the site's coaching team.
- Helping maintain consistently high coaching standards.
- Supporting and mentoring less experienced coaches.
- Providing constructive coaching feedback.
- Ensuring coaches understand programming, events and current initiatives.
- Helping manage coaching cover and day-to-day rota issues.
- Monitoring punctuality, professionalism and standards.
- Escalating significant performance or staffing concerns to senior management.
We want someone who can lead coaches rather than simply be another coach on the rota.
Site Management
You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day health of the site.
That means noticing the details.
Is the gym clean?
Is equipment where it should be?
Is something broken?
Are the toilets presentable?
Does reception feel welcoming?
Is the music right?
Are we ready for the next class?
Does something need ordering?
You'll be responsible for ensuring operational issues are dealt with rather than simply reported.
Commercial Awareness
You don't need to be an accountant or salesperson, but you do need to understand that a successful community also needs to be a successful business.
You'll develop an understanding of:
- Membership numbers
- New member enquiries
- Trials and introductions
- New joins
- Cancellations
- Member attendance and engagement
- Retention
- Performance Coaching opportunities
- Events and additional services
You'll work with the leadership team to identify opportunities to improve both the member experience and the performance of the site.
Community & Culture
Community is central to what we do.
We want our Senior Coach / Site Manager to be someone members know, trust and enjoy seeing in the building.
You'll help:
- Build relationships between members.
- Welcome new people into the community.
- Support gym events and socials.
- Encourage participation in challenges and competitions.
- Recognise member achievements.
- Maintain the personality and culture of the gym.
- Create an environment where people genuinely feel that they belong.
Your Weekly Management Responsibilities
Alongside your coaching hours, you'll have protected management time to oversee the site.
This will include:
- Reviewing the week ahead.
- Checking staffing and coaching cover.
- Reviewing new members, leads and trials.
- Identifying members who may need follow-up.
- Monitoring member feedback.
- Reviewing site maintenance and equipment issues.
- Supporting the coaching team.
- Preparing for upcoming events and initiatives.
- Reviewing key site performance indicators.
- Resolving operational issues.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement.
You'll also have a structured weekly management catch-up with the Business Owner/Director.

- An experienced CrossFit coach.
- Confident leading group classes.
- Personable and genuinely interested in people.
- Highly organised.
- Reliable and accountable.
- Comfortable having difficult conversations when necessary.
- Proactive rather than reactive.
- Able to solve problems independently.
- Commercially aware.
- Comfortable leading and supporting other coaches.
- Passionate about creating an exceptional member experience.
- Someone who notices when standards start to slip.
- Someone who brings solutions, not simply problems.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants ownership and responsibility.

- Experience within a CrossFit affiliate or community-focused fitness facility
We are equally interested in attitude and leadership potential as we are in an impressive CV.
What This Role Isn't
This isn't simply a coaching job with a management title attached.
It also isn't a role where you're expected to personally clean, fix or manage every problem in the building.
The role is about ownership.
When something isn't right, you'll take responsibility for ensuring it gets addressed.
When a member needs attention, you'll notice.
When a coach needs support, you'll help.
When you see an opportunity to improve the site, you'll act on it.
What We Offer
- A genuine leadership position within a growing fitness business.
- Protected management hours alongside coaching.
- The opportunity to influence how your site develops.
- Support and regular contact with the business leadership team.
- Opportunities for further coaching and leadership development.
- A highly engaged CrossFit community.
- The opportunity to play an important role in the future growth of the business.

Or you might be an excellent CrossFit coach who knows you're ready for the next step.
Either way, we're looking for someone who walks into a gym and naturally thinks:
What does this place need today, and how can I make it better?
If you're looking for more than simply delivering classes — and want the opportunity to coach, lead and take genuine ownership of a CrossFit community — we'd love to hear from you.
