Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries using leading accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements to provide accurate reporting on company performance.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions.
- Support audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to internal controls.
- Mentor junior accounting staff, fostering professional development and maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial accounting within a corporate environment, preferably in financial services or related industries.
- Proficiency in popular accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is essential.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
