Location: Abingdon
Hours: 04:30am start time. Monday - Friday. (Finish approx 2pm)
Pay: £13.05 per hour
Recruitment Solutions are working with a market leading business who are a household name to the majority. Due to continued growth we are looking for an experienced Drivers Mate to join the well established team, based out of Abingdon.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver's Mate to assist our delivery team in providing exceptional service to our clients customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in a customer facing role delivering goods and possess strong communication skills. This role involves supporting the driver during deliveries, ensuring that goods are handled safely and efficiently, and contributing to the overall success of the logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the driver in loading and unloading goods from the vehicle, ensuring safe handling of items.
- Support the delivery process by navigating routes and providing directions as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the driver and other team members to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment within the vehicle.
- Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns professionally.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Drivers Mate or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
