Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and associated components with precision and efficiency.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to carry out various tasks such as removal and refit of diesel engine components.
- Assist in organising workshop workflows, ensuring timely completion of jobs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each task.
- Support the workshop manager in overseeing daily operations, including safety compliance and inventory management.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Contribute to training junior team members and sharing technical expertise as required.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge related to diesel engines and heavy vehicle systems.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools essential for repair tasks.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Previous experience in a workshop environment is mandatory; relevant training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients.
- A valid UK driving licence is essential.
