Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in delivering exceptional service to our guests. This role involves supporting food and beverage operations in a dynamic environment, ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including setting up stations and replenishing supplies as needed
- Support the organisation of catering events, ensuring all aspects run smoothly from start to finish
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, adhering to food safety standards
- Take orders accurately and handle transactions using the point-of-sale system
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Must be 18 years old or over due to licensing laws
- Previous experience in restaurant service, catering, or hospitality is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable
- Experience in food preparation or serving within a fast-paced environment will be advantageous
- A friendly attitude with excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour is essential for success in this role
- Availability to work weekends and occasional evenings
