Senior Care Assistant – 24 Hours Per Week
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.
This is a 24-hour contract with additional hours regularly available to cover annual leave, sickness and service requirements.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Please do not apply unless you hold:
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Essential)
- Medication Administration training and experience
- Previous experience working as a Senior Care Assistant in a residential care setting (minimum of 2 years)
About the Role
You will be responsible for leading shifts and ensuring residents receive safe, person-centred care. Duties will include:
- Administration, ordering and auditing of medication
- Writing and reviewing care plans and risk assessments as changes occur
- Completing referrals to healthcare professionals
- Liaising with GPs, Mental Health Teams, Social Workers, Community Nurses and other professionals
- Supporting residents with moving and handling needs
- Completing MUST assessments and monitoring nutrition and hydration
- Family liaison and communication
- Supporting safeguarding and quality assurance processes
- Maintaining accurate records using PCS digital care planning
- Supporting care staff on shift and leading your team
