Job Summary:
ASRA Hub is an independent online school with an Islamic ethos. It seeks to appoint an outstanding and experienced English Key Stage 3 Teacher. Character and moral development of pupils is at the core of our school ethos, potential candidate is expected to work in line with the school ethos.
The role is a long-term contract and offers flexible part-time work-from-home hours (Monday through Thursday) 6 -9 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to teach live online lessons, so a good computer/laptop and a broadband connection are required. Applicants should have Qualified Teacher Status and an up-to-date DBS check.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare engaging lessons in line with English National Curriculum guidelines
- Deliver engaging, interactive lessons via the virtual classroom.
- Mark and monitor students' work and set targets for progress
- Set and mark appropriate homework for students
- Assess and record student development while identifying the problem areas and areas which need attention and improvement
- Provide meaningful feedback on pupils' learning
- Work within their faculty to meet curricular and departmental aims
- Have an excellent working knowledge of IT to enable them to deliver lessons using the virtual classroom technology and navigate around the learning management system
Required:
- PGCSE/QTS from a U.K. university.
- Subject specialist (English)
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong ability to educate and inspire students towards academic excellence.
- Competent and adaptive user of technology.
- Proficient in behaviour management strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Prior experience in teaching (must have UK school experience) in a state or independent school.
- High proficiency in English language instruction.
