Building Maintenance Engineer
Location: Canary Wharf, London
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Building Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team based in Canary Wharf, London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive building maintenance tasks, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Pay
£40,000 – £45,000 per year, depending on experience.
Working Pattern
- Primarily night shifts.
- Typical working hours are 10:00 pm – 6:00 am.
- The role is mainly site-based, with occasional office duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out emergency lighting testing.
- Clean and maintain kitchen extract duct systems.
- Test, inspect and report on fire dampers.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Produce accurate reports and maintenance records.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- A qualification in Building Services Engineering or extensive experience in a similar role.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the building maintenance or building services industry.
- Good understanding of building maintenance systems and compliance requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work night shifts and manage workload effectively.
