Responsibilities
- Manage and record financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to ensure accurate bookkeeping.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts regularly to maintain precise financial records.
- Process accounts payable by verifying invoices, preparing payments, and maintaining vendor records efficiently.
- Assist with accounts receivable tasks including invoicing clients and tracking outstanding payments.
- Maintain organized financial files and documentation for audit readiness and internal review.
- Support month-end closing activities by preparing reports and ensuring all entries are complete and accurate.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve bookkeeping processes and implement best practices for data integrity.
Requirements
- Proven experience with popular accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail to ensure error-free records.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors clearly and professionally.
- Prior experience in a part-time bookkeeping role or similar position is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic payroll processing and familiarity with other accounting tools is a plus.
