Logistics Manager / Porter
Ross’s Auctioneers & Valuers is looking for a reliable and organised Logistics Manager / Delivery Driver to join our busy team in Belfast city centre.
The role is varied and hands-on, combining responsibility for the safe and efficient dispatch of auction purchases with general portering duties across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully packaging and preparing auction purchases for delivery Delivering larger items throughout Ireland in our company van Arranging deliveries with courier and transport companies Obtaining and comparing delivery quotations Providing customers with delivery pricing and information Dealing with delivery queries and resolving any issues efficiently Coordinating collections and deliveries Moving and handling furniture, artwork, antiques and other auction items safely General portering duties within the auction house Assisting colleagues with the movement and organisation of stock Ensuring items are packaged securely and appropriately for transport Maintaining an organised and safe working environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and reliable, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will:
- Have excellent organisational and time-management skills Be confident communicating with customers, couriers and colleagues Have a practical, hands-on approach to work Be physically fit and comfortable with lifting and moving items Have excellent attention to detail, particularly when packaging valuable or fragile items Be able to work independently and as part of a team Be flexible and willing to assist across different areas of the business Have a positive, can-do attitude Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, removals, deliveries or portering would be advantageous
Location: Belfast City CentreHours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:15pm
