We are recruiting Support Workers to provide exceptional support to people with a learning disability in Northampton, Wellingborough and surrounding areas to lead fulfilled lives under the Supported Living Framework.

You will be required to work in a way that enables people with a learning disability to lead independent lives by providing person-centred support.
It is a requirement that you are able to support people in a way that enhances people’s life styles, promotes and respects their dignity.
Day to day support includes supporting people with some of the following aspects of their lives;
* Personal Care
* Shopping
* Household chores
* Managing challenging behaviour
* Assisting with their finances
* Prompting/assisting with medication
* Meeting friends/attending social events
* Accessing the community
* Driving their mobility cars
This role would suit candidates with prior experience of working with those who exhibit challenging behaviour or transferable skills.
You will work as part of a team with the expectation to lone work depending on where you work. You will need to be able to work every other weekend and you are required to possess the following skills:
* Have good understanding of written and verbal English
* Have Basic numeracy skills
* Have a current DBS on the update service (or be prepared to undertake one)
* Have a professional attitude and reliable
* Have knowledge of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
