Riva Foods is looking for an experienced and proactive Night Hygiene Manager to lead our night hygiene operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a background in food manufacturing hygiene to play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and compliance across our production facility.
The Role
As our Night Hygiene Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional visual and microbiological hygiene standards throughout the site. You will lead, train and motivate the hygiene team while maintaining a hands-on approach to cleaning operations. You will also oversee hygiene systems, documentation, compliance, and continuous improvement to ensure the site operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the night hygiene team to deliver the highest cleaning standards.
- Ensure all manufacturing, packing, storage and staff facilities are cleaned to schedule.
- Monitor microbiological results and maintain compliance with hygiene standards.
- Develop team KPIs and monitor performance.
- Train and support team members in hygiene procedures, COSHH, PPE and Health & Safety.
- Maintain hygiene documentation and update cleaning instructions (CICs).
- Manage cleaning supplies, factory garment laundry and PPE availability.
- Coordinate with Engineering to report equipment defects.
- Support deep cleaning activities and maintain a hands-on presence within the team.
- Act as a key holder for the business.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous hygiene experience (essential).
- Management or supervisory experience (essential).
- Experience within a food manufacturing environment (desirable).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A hands-on approach with a commitment to high standards.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A good understanding of food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety requirements.
Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
