Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced CITB Site Safety Plus Accredited Trainer (with own CITB Licence) to join our team in North London. This is a remote role, delivering CITB Site Safety Plus courses from your dedicated training centre/office.
The successful candidate will deliver SMSTS, SSSTS, and their respective Refresher courses, providing engaging, professional, and compliant training that meets CITB standards while helping learners develop the knowledge and confidence to work safely within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver online and CITB Site Safety Plus courses, including:
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
- SMSTS Refresher
- Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
- SSSTS Refresher
- Deliver all training in accordance with CITB quality assurance requirements.
- Create an engaging and interactive learning environment.
- Complete all course paperwork, learner records, and administrative requirements accurately.
- Assess learner understanding and provide constructive feedback.
- Keep up to date with changes to CITB standards, legislation, and industry best practice.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming learning environment for all delegates.
Essential Requirements
- Valid CITB Accreditation to deliver SMSTS, SSSTS, and their Refresher courses.
- Previous experience delivering CITB Site Safety Plus training.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Strong knowledge of UK construction health and safety legislation.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Professional, reliable, and organised approach.
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), PTLLS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Construction industry experience.
- NEBOSH or other recognised health and safety qualification.
- First Aid qualification.
