Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated <PERSON> joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and related materials on-site and in workshop settings. This role requires a strong understanding of joinery techniques, carpentry, and the use of hand and power tools. The ideal applicant will have experience in construction-related tasks such as roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting, with the ability to undertake heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks. Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble bespoke joinery components according to project specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and install materials
- Assist with carpentry tasks including framing, roofing, and fitting structural elements
- Perform construction painting, masonry, plumbing, electrical work as required on-site
- Undertake heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support various construction activities
- Contribute to the installation of fixtures, fittings, and other joinery elements in residential or commercial buildings
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety standards are upheld
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery work within the construction industry
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers; familiarity with power tools is essential
- Knowledge of roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems or construction painting is advantageous
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not essential for experienced candidates
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
