Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service at the counter and tables
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including coffee, tea, snacks, and light meals
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all food preparation areas
- Handle cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving change
- Keep the café clean and organized by restocking supplies, cleaning tables, kitchen, and ensuring workstations are tidy
- Assist with opening and closing duties to ensure the café runs smoothly from start to finish
- Support team members with serving customers during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Previous barista experience is highly desirable for crafting quality coffee beverages
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assist with food preparation efficiently and safely
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members
